Modern Slavery Statement
Deep Cleaning Hampstead Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Deep Cleaning Hampstead has taken, and continues to take, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or our supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically, transparently, and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to safeguard people from exploitation.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Deep Cleaning Hampstead operates a strict zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and all forms of exploitation. We expect the same high standards from everyone we work with, including employees, contractors, agency workers, and suppliers. Any form of modern slavery is fundamentally incompatible with our values, and we will not knowingly engage or continue relationships with any party that is found to be involved in such practices.
All managers and supervisors are responsible for promoting a culture in which respect for human rights, fair treatment, and lawful working conditions are understood to be essential and non-negotiable. Breaches of our commitment may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment or contracts where appropriate.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Deep Cleaning Hampstead provides professional deep cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. Our operations rely on a range of suppliers and service providers, including cleaning product manufacturers and distributors, equipment providers, facilities services, and labour agencies. We recognise that certain sectors and geographies carry a higher risk of modern slavery, and we assess these risks when forming and maintaining supplier relationships.
We are committed to working only with suppliers who share our values and who are prepared to demonstrate that they provide safe working conditions, respect workers’ rights, and comply with all relevant employment and human rights legislation.
Supplier Standards and Audits
To uphold our zero-tolerance policy, we have introduced clear standards for suppliers and contractors. These standards require that all work is voluntary, that workers are of legal working age, that wages meet or exceed legal minimums, and that working hours, rest periods, and leave entitlements are in line with applicable law.
We undertake proportionate due diligence and audits on new and existing suppliers where risk is identified. This may include reviewing policies and procedures relating to labour practices, requesting written confirmations of compliance with modern slavery legislation, and, where appropriate, conducting site visits or remote assessments. Where shortcomings are identified, we will work with suppliers to implement corrective actions within a defined timeframe. If serious or persistent non-compliance is found, we will consider suspending or terminating the business relationship.
Training, Awareness, and Reporting Channels
We are committed to ensuring that our staff understand the risks of modern slavery and are able to recognise signs of exploitation. Relevant employees, particularly those involved in recruitment, procurement, and supplier management, receive information and guidance on modern slavery risks and our internal procedures.
Deep Cleaning Hampstead encourages all employees, contractors, and suppliers to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery at the earliest possible stage. Concerns can be reported to line managers or senior management, or through any established internal reporting route. Reports will be taken seriously, treated sensitively, and investigated promptly. We will protect anyone who raises a concern in good faith from victimisation or retaliation and ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, that their identity is kept confidential.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We recognise that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility and that our approach must evolve in response to changing risks and best practice. Each year, we will review and, where necessary, update this statement and our supporting procedures to ensure they remain effective and relevant.
Our annual review will consider the effectiveness of our supplier audits, the adequacy of training and awareness initiatives, any concerns or incidents raised, and any changes in legislation or industry guidance. We are committed to learning from experience, collaborating with stakeholders where appropriate, and strengthening our controls to better prevent and detect any form of exploitation in our operations and supply chains.
This Modern Slavery Statement has been approved by the management of Deep Cleaning Hampstead and reflects our continued commitment to ethical, lawful, and responsible business conduct.
